Vortex
Vortex is a suspended fireplace designed for public and private spaces. The asymmetrical form of Vortex refers to the deformation of space and gives the fireplace a strong presence. Vortex offers two combustion options: traditional wood or an automatic bioethanol burner. The bioethanol version provides a real flame without smoke, ash or odours. Vortex is made of carbon steel, shaped by laser cutting and welding, and finished with heat resistant powder coating. The heat output ranges from 5.9 to 10.6 kilowatts.
Vortex Fireplace by Dário Sousa was identified as an innovative representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Vortex Fireplace received the Golden A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2021. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade that rewards excellent design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
