Bumpy
Bumpy is a glass vase designed to hold flowers and to serve as an interior object. The vase is mouth blown and shaped by hand by glass studio craftsmen in Poland. Rough glass shards are placed on the rim, where they act as ornaments and recall the texture of melting ice. A calm Scandinavian color palette gives the vessel a harmonious character. The simple shape suits a windowsill, a side table or a dining table. Bumpy holds a single flower branch and also looks complete when left empty.
Bumpy Vase by Sini Majuri has been highlighted as an innovative representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Bumpy Vase received the Silver A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2021. The A' Furniture Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize that rewards outstanding design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
