Cheetos Redesign
Cheetos Redesign is a snack food packaging design created for a corn snack brand in Mexico. New national regulations banned the use of characters on packaging, so the long-standing mascot was removed. A large letter C was developed as the central graphic asset. The letter is typographic, playful and distinctive, and it works across the full flavour range. The design can also be adapted for local markets. Each pack measures 132.5 mm in width and 250 mm in height. Production uses flexographic printing on a foil substrate.
Cheetos Redesign Packaging by Dennis Furniss was selected as an exceptional representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Cheetos Redesign Packaging received the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2021. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade that celebrates superior design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
