Platanus
Platanus is a corporate identity created for a psychiatry office with a humanized approach to medical care. The name refers to the platanus tree on the island of Kos, where Hippocrates taught medicine to the first doctors. The symbol brings together a Greek column, a tree structure, leaves, fruits, branches and an hourglass, drawn with one consistent line. The typography was designed exclusively for the brand and follows the proportions of the symbol. Patterns, graphics and stationery complete the coherent visual language.
Platanus Corporate Identity by Pedro Panetto has been selected as a grand example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Platanus Corporate Identity was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2021. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition that honors outstanding design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
