Yipin Yellow Tea
Yipin Yellow Tea is a tea packaging design that also serves as a decorative object. The package is made of ceramic combined with metal, which gives a good seal and makes it durable for long-term storage and reuse. The form is inspired by the tiger that guards the imperial tea garden, the dragon shaped old well and the stones of Mengding mountain. Opening the package is presented as a small discovery. After the tea is used, the cover can be removed and incense can be burned inside, so the container becomes an incense burner. The package measures 110 by 110 by 21 millimeters.
Yipin Yellow Tea Tea Packaging by Xianfeng Wu was recognized as an innovative example of communication design by the A' Design Award. Yipin Yellow Tea Tea Packaging was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2021. The A' Packaging Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize which recognizes superior design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
