Aery
Aery is a compact Ultraviolet-C air disinfection system developed to help people regain confidence in social interaction in a shared space. The design maximises disinfection efficacy using a dual-stage approach. This is achieved by cleverly repurposing the wasted heat from the thermal management unit and introducing an airflow control channel to impede air velocity which increases the air’s Ultraviolet-C exposure duration during the disinfection process.
Aery UVC Air Disinfection System by Duane Lye Dun Wei has been selected as an innovative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Aery UVC Air Disinfection System received the Silver A' Design Award in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Products Design in 2021. The A' Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Products Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which rewards superior design of furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, air conditioners, ventilators, thermostats, ductwork, radiators and more.
