Junone
Junone is a lamp designed as both a functional light and a sculptural object. The form combines rounded organic shapes with tensions inspired by the aeronautical industry, creating an architectural presence and a sense of direction. Junone is made only with 3D printed nylon infused with glass and 3D printed steel infused with bronze. A hollow shell reduces the amount of material used without weakening the structure. The lamp holds a replaceable and dimmable 5 watt LED and is operated by a simple switch. Junone is a limited series of ten numbered pieces.
Junone Lamp by Alan Aronica was highlighted as an outstanding illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Junone Lamp won the Iron A' Design Award in Fine Arts and Art Installation Design in 2021. The A' Fine Arts and Art Installation Design Award is a highly prestigious international design recognition program which rewards superior design of sculptures, paintings, installations, photographs, drawings, mixed media works, ceramics, art objects, craftworks and more.
