The No 2
The No. 2 is a pair of sunglasses designed for durability and comfort. The frame is made from 0.5 mm ultra-thin Japanese shape-memory stainless steel, shaped by bending and folding without welding joints or screws. A patent-pending zero-screw locking hinge replaces traditional screws and barrel hinges, so hinges cannot loosen and screws cannot fall out. The frame weighs 18 grams. Polycarbonate lenses are impact-resistant and block ultraviolet light. Medical-grade silicone nose pads and temple tips are hypoallergenic.
The No 2 Sunglasses by Shih-Yun Swin Huang was identified as an outstanding illustration of fashion design by the A' Design Awards. The No 2 Sunglasses won the Silver A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2021. The A' Jewelry Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition that celebrates excellent design of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, anklets and more.
