Sun Rose
Sun Rose is a wine label created for a Greek winery. The design takes its inspiration from the horizon that divides the earth and the sky. All the information that describes the wine is placed on the lower part of the label, where the earth is shown. The logo is set high above, in the position where the sun would appear. A minimal approach is used, so the graphic elements do not distract from the colour of the wine. The label is made of paper and is applied to a glass bottle. The project was completed in 2018 in Athens.
Sun Rose Wine Label by Antonia Skaraki was selected as an exceptional representation of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Sun Rose Wine Label was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2022. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award which celebrates exceptional design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
