Mighty Dragon on the Hill
Mighty Dragon on the Hill is a factory complex for the production of electric cars in Miaoli, Taiwan. The park covers seven hectares and holds six main buildings, including an administration center, a research center, a dormitory and a production line. The form takes the image of the traditional Chinese dragon, and the low arch roofs keep the original skyline of the hill. The arch roofs also reduce wind pressure and allow solar panels to be added later. Wide green areas, an old banyan tree and a local temple are kept within the site.
Mighty Dragon on the Hill Factory by T.E&C Architects & Associates was selected as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Mighty Dragon on the Hill Factory won the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design accolade that recognizes exceptional design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
