Lab Future Construction
Lab Future Construction is an event identity created for a design exhibition in Taiwan. The identity is based on a new written language called Hou-Ru Wen. Hou-Ru Wen was developed by reconstructing existing notes, signs and symbols from the viewpoint of an alien observer. The letterforms mix the word structures of Phoenician and Berber, and Mandarin phonetic symbols are used for spelling. The layout refers to Sumerian cuneiform, so the writing is aligned to the bottom. The identity extends to the venue, the website and the catalog.
Lab Future Construction Event Identity by Tsung-Han Lin has been recognized as an outstanding example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Lab Future Construction Event Identity received the Silver A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2022. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade that recognizes outstanding design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
