Leafy Relaxing
Leafy Relaxing Home is a renovated apartment interior of 62.8 square meters located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The design creates a bright and spacious home with multi-functional areas and simple materials, without changing the original layout. A structural beam, formerly hidden within a multi-level ceiling, is revealed as the main axis through the living and dining areas to guide movement. Marble, wood veneer and fine metallic lines add a refined touch. A wall printed with palm leaves forms the focal point of the home.
Leafy Relaxing Apartment by Chang Thai Yu was highlighted as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Leafy Relaxing Apartment earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition which recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
