Rencent Office Center

Rencent Office Center is an office building on the coast of Qingdao. The building slabs are extended in line with the surrounding shoreline, echoing the terrain and the nearby buildings. Sea view windows are set between the slabs like floating boxes. Facing the city, the facade is treated as a scene frame with a diagonal cut. Only three materials are used: glass, stone and dark metal. A sunken plaza resolves the two story height difference across the site and improves the circulation of the building spaces.

Rencent Office Center Corporate Headquarters by Tengyuan Design has been highlighted as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Rencent Office Center Corporate Headquarters received the Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that honors outstanding design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
