Tambourine
Tambourine B is a bracelet inspired by the tambourine, a percussion instrument that completes the rhythm of music. The bracelet holds a movable inner ring that shifts inside the outer ring and produces a soft sound when the wearer moves. The precise fit of the two rings makes the construction method complex. Sterling silver is used for the piece. Hand sketches were converted into digital models and printed in resin, then cast, soldered, polished and silver plated by hand. The lightweight and minimal form is intended as a symbol of life, dance and music.
Tambourine Bracelet by Nardin Sabounchi was identified as a creative representation of fashion design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Tambourine Bracelet was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2022. The A' Jewelry Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize that celebrates superior design of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, anklets and more.
