The Scarlett
The Scarlett is a residential interior design completed in Taiwan. The space uses a white background blended with gray, black and milk tea tones, while bright orange is added as an accent. A curved ceiling connects the public areas, and its overlapping lines form soft shapes that recall white hills. Rounded corners soften the edges throughout, including a curved television wall. Wooden cabinets in the hallway display a model collection. Materials include amber mirrors, titanium-plated metal, terrazzo and low formaldehyde building products.
The Scarlett Residential by Chih Hsiu Sung was identified as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The Scarlett Residential was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design competition which rewards exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
