Seine River
Seine River is a cafe located on a European inspired street in a village near Chongqing City, China. The retro interior draws on classical French and British decorative art. Marble pillars divide the plan into two areas and form a sunken zone. A tree is planted inside the entrance, and large windows link the interior with the natural scenery outside. Main materials include white natural marble, natural leather, laminate flooring, brass and white latex paint. The cafe covers 130.3 square meters and displays European exhibitions and artworks.
Seine River Cafe by YiXuan Wang was selected as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Seine River Cafe was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition which celebrates superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
