Still Promised Land
Still Promised Land is a villa interior design in Taichung, Taiwan, with an area of 991.74 square meters. Natural solid wood, red earth, mineral paint and ironwork are used as the main materials. A traditional truss structure is applied with contemporary methods. A double layer roof with a covered ridge and sidewall openings supports natural indoor ventilation. Large French windows in the high ceiling living room frame views of the courtyard and the side room. In the basement, a suspended bookshelf separates the audio-visual room from the study.
Still Promised Land Villa by Kenny Yang was featured as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Still Promised Land Villa earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
