Secret Behind Magic
Secret Behind Magic is a blind box package for mixed nuts. The outer box graphic uses coordinated lines and three primary colors, inspired by Mondrian composition, combined with a simulated brown kraft paper tone. The design conveys the idea of balanced and healthy nutrition in a simple way. The inner boxes follow the same colors and add cartoon character illustrations for a role play game. An internal lifting mechanism pushes each inner box to the opening, so all boxes can be pulled out one by one. Food contact grade board and soy ink are used.
Secret Behind Magic Nuts Blind Box by Jinglun Cui has been recognized as an innovative representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Secret Behind Magic Nuts Blind Box earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2022. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which rewards superior design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
