Yulonghu
Yulonghu is a community center built in Xuzhou, China, next to the Dalong Lake Scenic Area. The plan follows the ritual architecture of the Han dynasties, with a central main hall and a progressive courtyard layout. Visitors pass an entrance lobby, an axial garden, a water garden and a curved bridge before reaching the main building beside the river. The base columns are made of white linen stone, while the entrance arch and the roof grille use copper-like brushed aluminum panels. The design joins local cultural tradition with modern construction methods.
Yulonghu Community Center by Quincy Li has been selected as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Yulonghu Community Center was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade which celebrates outstanding design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
