Luoyue
Luoyue is a resort hotel interior design located on Hailing Island. The lobby and restaurant spaces draw on local fisherman culture and coastal scenery. Wavy imitation wood grain film covers surfaces and recalls the form of sea water. Wave shaped transparent resin lamps light the lobby ceiling. Materials such as plastic rattan, handmade brick, flexible stone and marble were tested for resistance to the humid and salty air. Check-in desks are arranged in several groups to reduce congestion during peak arrival periods. The project covers 3000 square meters.
Luoyue Resort Hotel by Gao Hui has been recognized as an innovative illustration of service design by the A' Design Award. Luoyue Resort Hotel was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Design in 2022. The A' Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program that celebrates excellent design of hotels, restaurants, resorts, cafes, bars, cruise ships, theme parks, travel experiences and more.
