Less is More
Less is More is a residential interior design for a 148 square meter home. The home contains three bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a dressing room and a storeroom. A black and white palette creates a strong contrast and a simple, neat character. Black adds weight and calmness, while white brings lightness and order. Neutral gray wooden flooring harmonizes the two tones. Earth tone furniture and warm wood soften the cool scheme. A wooden grille wraps the cabinet between the dining and living areas as a screen.
Less is More Residential House by Cheng He Interior Design Studio was selected as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Less is More Residential House won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022.
