Original Tea Capsule
Original Tea Capsule is a tea packaging designed for the Cteao tea machine. The outer form follows the shape of a leaf and its veins, and each package color refers to one kind of tea. An invisible dot matrix on the sealing film allows the machine to recognize the tea inside and select a suitable brewing plan. The interior structure divides the water into four channels, so the leaves are fully soaked and extracted several times. Nitrogen filling and aluminum films at the top and bottom protect the leaves. The capsule measures 82 by 54 by 28 millimeters.
Original Tea Capsule Packaging by Beijing Xiaoguan Cha Company Limited was featured as an exceptional example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Original Tea Capsule Packaging received the Iron A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2022. The A' Packaging Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award which honors outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
