Hyangsimjae
Hyangsimjae takes a holistic approach to medical treatments, combining family medicine and dermatology. It's design aims to create an intimate atmosphere and help the doctor and the patient to establish a relationship of mutual trust. This is why the rooms are designed in such a way that only a small number of people can enter them at a time. The natural materials, colors and light conditions of the interior radiate calm, and the use of glass and metal gives the building an urban appearance, while, at the same time, the rough exterior facade contrasts with the surrounding cityscape.
Hyangsimjae Clinic by Kwang-il An has been recognized as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Hyangsimjae Clinic won the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program which rewards superior design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
