Mint
Mint is a sideboard designed for contemporary living spaces. The form combines a rectangle with triangles to create a structured surface where different items can be placed. The appearance of the sideboard changes according to the angle of view, which gives the piece a sense of fluidity and visual texture. Mint is intended to act as the leading element of a room, so that other furniture can follow its structure. The design draws on natural forms and joins an earthy character with a contemporary and abstract expression.
Mint Side Board by Yacob Sughair was identified as an outstanding representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Mint Side Board received the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize that rewards superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
