Soaking in Daylight
Soaking in Daylight is a residential interior design for a 39-ping apartment in Taiwan with three bedrooms and two living areas. The interior combines Japanese simplicity with a modern luxurious character. Wooden materials are used for the floors, doors, system cabinets, tables and chairs, while white and grey walls keep the rooms calm. Terrazzo flooring marks the entryway, and the living room walls carry an architectural concrete coating. Glass doors, windows and shelves draw daylight into the master bedroom. The open layout supports free movement between the shared areas.
Soaking in Daylight Residence by Yu-Hsuan Lin was featured as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Soaking in Daylight Residence earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award which recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
