Evian Valley
Evian Valley is the interior design of a single villa of 800 square meters. The staircase was moved from the closed north side to the south side, where daylight enters. The revolving staircase opens the plan and connects the levels. Glass windows along the building link the interior with the mountain scenery outside. The main materials are dyed veneer, rock board and latex paint. Calm colors and simple finishes are used in the master bedroom. The whole layout follows the path of light through the day.
Evian Valley Residential House by Nanjing Matilian Space Design has been highlighted as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Evian Valley Residential House won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize that honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
