Shanghai Flora Lodge
Shanghai Flora Lodge is a hotel interior design located in Shanghai. The project covers a gross built area of 285 square meters and was completed in October 2021. The interior follows a minimalist and quiet Japanese wabi-sabi style. Light colors and solid wood floors create a calm atmosphere based on natural timber. Arched floor-to-ceiling windows form the main feature of the space and bring daylight inside. The design offers a private retreat within a busy city and expresses the wish for a beautiful home.
Shanghai Flora Lodge Interior Design by Katie Yao was recognized as an outstanding illustration of service design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Shanghai Flora Lodge Interior Design won the Bronze A' Design Award in Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Design in 2022. The A' Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition which recognizes outstanding design of hotels, restaurants, resorts, cafes, bars, cruise ships, theme parks, travel experiences and more.
