Not Make Believe
This illustration project tackles the theme that Chronic pain is not Make Believe. The images are a combination of colours, textures and characters coming together to communicate a message.There are seven images total in this series.The protagonist is a young female surrounded by characters that are patterned and clear. There are foxes emerging from the grass and the silhouettes of dark and light enhance the surrounding colour. The Artistic message of each illustration connects to the viewer through symbolism in each image.
Not Make Believe Illustration Campaign by Ciara Chapman was selected as an innovative representation of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Not Make Believe Illustration Campaign was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2022. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition which honors superior design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
