Embroidery
Embroidery Collection is a group of upholstered seating and tables for living spaces. The collection includes a one-seat sofa, a two-seat sofa, a coffee table and a side table. Smocking, a hand sewing technique taken from the fashion industry, gathers the fabric into pleats and forms patterned reliefs on the upholstery. The smocking detail replaces the hub-pulling method used in traditional sofa work. Fabric and leather are combined in each piece. The aim is to present upholstery craft in a new visual form.
Embroidery Upholstery Seating by Yongphan Sundara-vicharana has been selected as an exceptional representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Embroidery Upholstery Seating earned the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize which honors exceptional design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
