Pan
Pan is a coat hanger made up of three steel elements connected by a central joint. Each component is obtained by reusing the waste steel sheet coming from industrial laser cutting processes. Each component is sized with the aim of reusing as much material as possible. Pan is a multifaceted object, the two dimensional sheet takes on a new three dimensional aesthetic, a multifaceted volume with a sculptural value. Each pan is unique because its design depends on how the elements are randomly arranged on the slab during the ongoing production process.
Pan Coat Rack by Sapiens Design Studio has been identified as an innovative representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Pan Coat Rack won the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is a highly prestigious international design competition which honors superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
