Type V
Type V is a travel electric guitar designed for practice and composition in many locations. The lightweight body weighs 2.49 kilograms and allows comfortable playing while standing, sitting or leaning back on a sofa. A solid Sapeli body, a five piece maple and Sapeli neck, an ebony fretboard and stainless steel fanned frets support long sustain and clear tones. The extended range instrument has 24 frets, a headless fixed bridge and a matte black finish. The shape draws on the smooth forms of yachts and jets.
Type V Travel Electric Guitar by Vladimir Shorin was recognized as a creative representation of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Type V Travel Electric Guitar was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Musical Instruments Design in 2022. The A' Musical Instruments Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award that honors superior design of guitars, pianos, violins, drums, saxophones, flutes, trumpets, harps and more.
