Love
Love is a packaging design created for a set of western tableware that includes knives, forks and spoons. The outer box holds three smaller boxes inside. The three inner boxes refer to a Chinese Taoist idea, in which one gives rise to two, two gives rise to three, and three gives rise to all things. The green colour suggests quality and elegance, and also refers to nature, peace and environmental care. The pattern follows the concept of a round sky and a square earth. A folding flap makes the box easy to open. Gray cardboard and whiteboard are used, with gilding.
Love Tableware Packaging by Yan Li was selected as an outstanding illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award. Love Tableware Packaging won the Iron A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2023. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award that recognizes excellent design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
