Ocean Blue
Ocean Blue is a packaging design for a baijiu spirit. The bottle follows the proportions of the Fibonacci spiral, giving a balanced and dynamic form that is easy to hold and open. The upper part is finished with golden sparks that recall beach sand, while the lower part is coloured in sea blue. Copper plate lithography, cat-eye making and embossing are used to improve the surface texture. The outer box is made of grey board paper with a white board interior, a foam pad and a woven blister. A coded system links each bottle, box and case to help protect the product from counterfeiting.
Ocean Blue Alcoholic Beverage Packaging by Wen Liu was selected as an exceptional representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Ocean Blue Alcoholic Beverage Packaging received the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2023. The A' Packaging Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design accolade which recognizes excellent design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
