Shuiboli
Shuiboli is the interior design of a private residence in Huizhou, China, with an area of 570 square meters. A sculptural staircase is inserted into the space, optimizing the layout and the circulation route while creating a visual focus. The double-height stairwell avoids an oppressive feeling and provides a sense of open, breathing space. Wood veneer, marble and micro cement add a tactile quality to the interior. A large French window brings in daylight and frames the outdoor landscape. Soft furniture pieces create a calm and cozy atmosphere, and art installations complete the setting.
Shuiboli Private Residence by Huang Yu has been featured as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Shuiboli Private Residence earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize that celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
