Tranquility
Tranquility is a residential interior design for a 109 square meter home in Taiwan. The layout is open plan, and a kitchen island forms the core of the space, serving as a dining, work and sitting area. A projection screen is installed in the ceiling for shared film viewing. The interior height of 3.6 meters allows a mezzanine, which adds a bedroom, a study and storage. The two children's rooms follow the same two level plan, with a bed below and a multi-functional area above. Materials include solid wood veneer, metal, marble and gravel.
Tranquility Residential by Ye-Siang Huang has been recognized as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Tranquility Residential was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design accolade that recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
