Haisi
Haisi is a resort interior design located in a river town in Fujian, China. The project reproduces the style of a century-old water town in Fuzhou and highlights local culture. Several courtyards are staggered to form enclosed and private areas, and each courtyard serves one guest room. The executive room uses a three-entry layout, with a drop-off area, a bedroom facing the courtyard and a garden. Warm wooden tones, brown and gold finishes, lacquer paintings and wood carvings recall traditional southern Fujian houses.
Haisi Resort by Nan Zheng was featured as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Haisi Resort was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design accolade which recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
