Dukang Liquor The Maker of Chinese Baijiu

Dukang Liquor

Dukang Liquor is a packaging design for a Chinese baijiu. The bottle is shaped from top to bottom to form the abstract profile of Cao Cao, a historical military strategist and poet whose verse gave the brand its name. The cap recalls the headwear of officials of the period after the Han dynasty, and the body is carved like a gown, which also gives a steady grip. Glass is used instead of the ceramic common to similar brands, so the surface gains gloss and texture. The outer box is decorated with a vector painting of Luoyang, the ancient capital.

Dukang Liquor The Maker of Chinese Baijiu by TIGER PAN has been identified as a creative representation of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Dukang Liquor The Maker of Chinese Baijiu was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2023. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition that honors outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
