Gin
Gin is a bar interior of 200 square meters located in Xi'an, China. The design is inspired by the masonry, ceramic components and arch structures of Etruscan architecture. Handmade coarse ceramic brick walls are combined with textured stucco coating and granite surfaces. Stone columns are joined to the streamlined central bar counter, which supports the structure and fills the open space. Candles and ceiling spotlights provide soft lighting. Art Deco lines and symmetrical geometry recall an ancient era.
Gin Bar by Yixi Liu was recognized as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Gin Bar was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
