Back to One's True Nature, a duplex residence a couple shares with their mother, features a design that maximizes the layout's openness and brightness. Hallways dividing the space are reduced, and the main and secondary flows are configured based on functional needs. Thus the space becomes a container of life centering on its dwellers' daily habits and needs and is divided into the main and secondary domains that encompass both a private area for personal use and a shared section for the family to interact.

Back to One’s True Nature Residential House by Kuo Hsuan Ting has been highlighted as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Back to One’s True Nature Residential House won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design prize which celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
