Lagonaki Mountain Eco Resort
Lagonaki Mountain Eco Resort is a master plan for a mountain resort in the Republic of Adygea, Russia. The plan places hotels, a cable car station and public infrastructure within a compact area of changing elevations and rocky hills surrounded by relict trees. Valuable natural features were mapped and preserved, and view axes and observation platforms were planned. Tourist routes prevent unauthorized access to protected natural areas. Building forms follow traditional Adyghe houses, with a stone base, a wooden roof and a gallery around the house.
Lagonaki Mountain Eco Resort Master Plan by RTDA has been identified as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Lagonaki Mountain Eco Resort Master Plan was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Urban Planning and Urban Design in 2023. The A' City Planning and Urban Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program which celebrates outstanding design of masterplans, zoning proposals, infrastructure designs, landscape blueprints, public space concepts, urban renewal projects, transit oriented developments, sustainable city designs and more.
