Line
Line is a furniture series composed of a chair, a table and a lamp. Each piece is formed from bent metal wire, joined by welding and combined with wood. The main material is 304 stainless steel, which is hard and corrosion resistant. The production process includes blanking, bending, heating, stretching, welding and polishing. The shapes are polished to suit the sitting posture and to improve comfort. The series is intended for home study spaces. The lamp can also hold books, while the table stores objects and organizes cables.
Line Series Furniture by Wei Jingye / 魏靖野 has been identified as an exceptional example of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Line Series Furniture won the Silver A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2023. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade which celebrates excellent design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
