Milcotech
Milcotech is a point of sale system for milk collection centres. Milcotech records milk quality analysis and traceability from the small farmer to the food processor. Farmers and collectors are identified by RFID cards, and each delivery is weighed, tested and logged. The system stores transaction, quantity and quality data, which supports farmer relationship management, extension services and access to finance. The housing is made of carbon steel and aluminium in three modules that can be rearranged on a desktop.
Milcotech Multifunctional Sale System by IECC of Nile University has been highlighted as a grand illustration of service design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Milcotech Multifunctional Sale System was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Meta, Strategic and Service Design in 2023. The A' Meta, Strategic and Service Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition that recognizes excellent design of design strategy, design management, service design, franchising design, strategic design, service blueprints, prototypes, touchpoints and more.
