Satoro
Satoro is a series of photographs of a small satellite, produced for RedPeak. The images were taken before the satellite was sent into orbit, in a field where digital renderings are common. White backgrounds show the intricate details of the design, while the framing gives a sense of weight and presence. The compositions range from close-ups of small parts to wide-angle views of the complete unit. Contrasts of light and shadow reveal the patterns on the reflective metal surfaces. The photographs were made over two days in Taipei for digital and print use.
Satoro Small Satellites by RedPeak Global has been featured as an innovative illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award. Satoro Small Satellites earned the Iron A' Design Award in Photography and Photo Manipulation Design in 2023. The A' Photography and Photo Manipulation Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade that rewards exceptional design of portraits, landscapes, still lifes, photojournalism, fashion shots, architectural images, wildlife captures, sports events and more.
