Secret Land
Secret Land is a private reception house in Taiwan, designed as a place for the owner to meet friends, watch ball games and taste wine. The plan is fully open, with the kitchen, living room and dining room set in equal proportions to form a triangular circulation path. Sight lines meet across the three areas, so conversation stays easy from any point. Cast iron is used for the screen, display shelf and display cabinet, and its natural rust gives a raw appearance. A warm wood dining table and an olive green sofa balance the cool gray tones.
Secret Land Private Reception House by Li Tien Wen has been identified as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Secret Land Private Reception House earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award that honors superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
