Meridiana
Meridiana is a duplex residential interior design covering 185.1 square meters. The layout separates social areas downstairs from private areas upstairs. Curved walkways guide movement and change the position of people in relation to daylight. Reflective materials at the ends of the walkways extend the reach of light. The walls carry grooves of 5 and 7 centimeters, along with sponged and scraped textures, so light and shadow form clear lines. Materials include marble, glass and metal. The intent is to spread limited natural light through the whole home.
Meridiana Residence by Tsu-Wei Chang has been highlighted as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Meridiana Residence earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
