Loading
Loading is a jewelry showroom located in Fuzhou, China. The space is 5.5 meters high and its structure is reorganized through raised and sunken geometric forms. Circular and rectangular shapes divide the display and service areas, while curved lines flow across the interior. Most materials are reused from dismantled projects, which reduces waste and lowers cost. Glass bricks create indirect lighting and an irregular wall surface, so the building resembles a gift box of light. The aim was to replace the traditional jewelry showroom model with a relaxed and open space.
Loading Jewelry Center by Zhe Huang was highlighted as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Loading Jewelry Center was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award that rewards exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
