Wudang Mountain
Wudang Mountain is a visual identity and illustration project created for the Wudang Mountain World Cultural Heritage site in China. The project includes three illustrations, three logo designs, packaging, patterns based on Wudang mythology and local animals, and the interior design of a flagship store. The main logo uses a complex form to reflect the history and solemnity of the site, while the commercial sub-brand uses clean lines. The packaging box measures 18 by 18 centimeters and combines embossing, hot stamping and ultraviolet coating, so details can be seen and felt.
Wudang Mountain Visual Design by Wu Yao was highlighted as an outstanding representation of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Wudang Mountain Visual Design was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Cultural Heritage and Culture Industry Design in 2024. The A' Cultural Heritage and Culture Industry Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade that celebrates superior design of cultural heritage projects, cultural conversation, preservation, restoration and protection projects, heritage architecture and more.
