Transient Light
Transient Light is a shared community space of 353.7 square meters located in Taiwan. The interior holds a reception center, a reading area, a video room and a gym. The design is inspired by the seed, drawing on its rounded shape, hard shell and spirit of growth. A ceiling height of 4.5 meters allows an open plan with few physical partitions. Curved bookshelves of black glass separate the reception center from the reading area. Materials include tiles, marble, glass and diatomaceous earth wallpaper in earthy tones.
Transient Light Shared Space by Yu-Ling Hung was highlighted as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Transient Light Shared Space received the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition that rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
