Beauty of Orient
Beauty of Orient is an office interior created inside a fifty-year-old house in Taiwan. The indoor area is 99.1 square meters and the yard is 49.5 square meters. Black, white and grey tones of low saturation form a calm and classic setting. Organic curves shape the ceiling and the storage cabinet at the entrance, and an asymmetrical curve marks the second floor. Several partitions were removed and a matte glass screen was added to keep circulation open and bright. Laminate flooring, woodwork, baked paint and stone pattern fabric are used.
Beauty of Orient Office by Dangli Design+SC Architects has been recognized as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Beauty of Orient Office earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award that honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
