The D Showroom
The D Showroom is a skincare brand showroom in Taiwan. The 106 square meter interior repurposes an old industrial warehouse and preserves its original structure. A mezzanine and a staircase are added to the high-ceilinged space to increase the usable area. Lightweight iron structures and metal mesh keep the space open and visible. Large windows bring sunlight and views of outdoor plants inside, which reduces the need for artificial lighting. Wood, gravel paint, iron, paper and rattan reflect the minimalist and eco-friendly approach of the brand.
The D Showroom Commercial Space by Tzu-Chien Chiang was featured as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The D Showroom Commercial Space was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition which recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
